A number of religious, cultural and political figures including the city’s mayor were present at the ceremony.

Speakers praised the role of Nablus Quran Academy in developing the Quranic culture and encouraging Quran memorization in Palestinian society.

The academy is affiliated to the city’s Zakat Committee and its students learn the entire holy Quran by heart before graduating.

Nablus is a city in the northern West Bank, Palestine, with a population of over 330,000.
